I was raised by my grandmother in a country town in Victoria, surrounded by chooks, kittens, dogs – and the list goes on! When my grandmother wasn’t making preserves, jams and sauces for the local Country Women’s Association, there was always a ball of wool and knitting needles close by her side. It was inevitable therefore that everything homemade and a love of all creatures great and small would be a forever passion for me.
My vision, when I relocated from Victoria to SE QLD in 2011, was to gently walk away from the rigours of a high-pressure career and embrace a simpler lifestyle beside the ocean, with my two dachshunds (Denton & Morrison) and venture back into crafting.
Now 8 years later, after all good intentions were set aside by “life challenges” here I am. Denton has now crossed the rainbow bridge & Dachshund IVDD Support Australia was founded by me in his honour. My 2 Silly Sausages are now Morrison and a little rescue girl Maggie who chose us to love 4 years ago.
One divorce, two dogs struck down by IVDD & some hefty unexpected expenses – now it’s time put dreams into reality.
It’s said that life is a journey, not a destination. Welcome to our world of 2 Silly Sausages.
